Fire management in the Amazon is one of the region’s most complex socio-environmental challenges. *Fronteras del Fuego* offers a technical and informative overview of the history, uses, dynamics, and changes that fire has undergone in Amazonian countries, with a special focus on its cultural, ecological, and territorial dimensions. The book is the result of a collaboration between OTCA and GIZ within the framework of the CoRAmazonia project (BMZ/COSUDE), with the participation of various strategic partners in the region. The publication identifies the main factors behind the increase in fires, examines their consequences for biodiversity and community livelihoods, and explores how Integrated Fire Management (MIF) can provide sustainable solutions by bringing together traditional knowledge, scientific research, and territorial governance.
